Regine is a mentally vulnerable young woman who hides in the city, away from the dark and terrifying countryside of her childhood trauma. She is striving to build a loving family that has never existed before, and transcends past events: most importantly, her brother Isaac was unfortunately born at home, which led to her mother's insanity and Isaac's apparent death. But the city is tense, hostile, and contains its own threats. When Regine's grandmother was brutally murdered, her abusive relationship with the psychiatrist who treated her mother had plagued her life: Was Isaac still alive? He wants revenge on a family he thinks rejected? In order to heal the wounds of the past and reunite her family by establishing ties with brothers she has never met, Regine must return to the place where her previous wounds were and confront the true roots of the family's guilt.
