Is he a good man?
Is his life worthwhile?
Should his life and growing be determined by someone else?
And is this life good for him?
He doesn't have many choices.
A different father we knew from him, from the postcard, from all his behavior.
He is maybe too impulsive sometime, but he is so smart, reasonable all the time, and full of love.
The captain is doing something about his perfect world, but the question is, whether what is done by him many years ago, a little matter he has done when the man is still a boy, when he was doing something to get his perfect world at that time, is really perfect?
However, though the world is not that perfect,he tried so hard to make a perfect one for the boy. There is a lot of love there. And in this way, is it something perfect?
So what else can be said?
真的希望他们的旅程可以一直继续下去，可以一直去到他心心念念的阿拉斯加，找到给他寄明信片的父亲，像明信片所说的那样，get to know each other。不过最终他们还是没有成行。这样也好，现实中的父亲或许不会有想象中那么美好，往往只有记忆中或者想象中的人事才会特别的可爱可亲，一但画面一帧一格地清晰地展现在你面前，背后暗藏的不便、可恶、肮脏和丑恶也如影随形，就像黏在玻璃上的一层黏胶，即使撕得去表面的掩饰，紧紧附着在玻璃上的黏胶是如何也去不干净的了。
这短短的相处时光里，Buzz的成长显而易见，影片开头他在玻璃窗前眼睁睁看着别人朝自己扔水球的情形还在眼前，转眼他就可以扣动扳机，毁灭证据，有模有样地把钥匙拔下来扔进就近的草丛中然后迅速地逃跑了。他虽有小小的行为出轨，但不愿伤人的善良天性却并未被消灭，他需要有人教导他，帮助他，Butch类似父亲的强硬形象使他迅速的成长起来，感谢上帝他成长的很好，有仁有义。
