This film is based on the real situation of Agatha Christie, a famous mystery novel writer, who disappeared for 11 days in 1926, and it makes up her whereabouts during that period. When her husband announced that he was leaving her to go to another woman, Christie hid in a hotel in Harrogate, plotting revenge against her spouse, while the whole UK was searching for her. The reporter who found Christie tried to thwart her plan and eventually fell in love with her.
