A flat in Radbrock Grove, western London. In 1952, when Hurst Collier was found by a neighbor after attempted suicide, her affair with a former Royal Air Force pilot and her marriage to a High Court judge began to surface. Accompanying it is a depiction of needs, loneliness, and long-term suppressed passion. Behind the fragile appearance of post-war civilization, there is a cruel sense of loss and longing burning.
